Blyde Canyon Safaris, together with the Moletele community, offer scenic boat trips on the Blyde Dam. This is your opportunity to see the famous Three Rondawels and the Blyde River Canyon from the angle it’s supposed to be seen: while you’re on the water, at the base of the towering mountains that form these breathtaking sights. Tick off those last couple of birds that have been eluding your bird list and enjoy seeing the hippo’s and crocodiles that make this dam their home.
We are passionate about nature and preserving the few untouched pieces that remain in South Africa. We aim to offer everyone the opportunity to experience the beauty that the Lowveld has to offer. We run several activities and excursions and through our sister company, Blyde Adventure Camp, adventure and leadership camps for large groups.
We offer daily trips at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Join one of our trips or book the entire boat for yourself. Use our friendly online booking system on this website, or contact our office to make your booking.

The Blyde Canyon is the third largest canyon in the world and the largest green canyon in the world.
It is a place of pure untouched beauty and is best seen and experienced from the water on our comfortable, 12 seater pontoon boat. You will be guided and accompanied by our experienced skipper who is a born and bred Moletele with a wealth of knowledge and passion for the canyon.

A wonderful trip on the Blyde Dam with friendly and informative cruise guides - Ursula
My wife and I found the whole experience absolutely stunning. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and informative. We don't live too far away and yet, didn't know this wonderful event existed. To experience and take photographs of the beauty which surrounds you, is really something special. We have already told our family and friends about it and have encouraged them to experience this as well. - Stephen
Really enjoyed the trip with my husband. We saw crocodiles and some hippopotamus in the dam. Thought our guide was excellent with his running commentary. Had good vantage points of the stunning scenery. When we got cold our guide supplied us with blankets. - Colleen
The boat tour on the Blyde River Dam was a very pleasant trip. It's well organized and the guide very knowledgeable. We got interesting information about the environment snd the animals. We can highly recommend this trip. In winter preferably around lunch time as the afternoon trip is mainly in the shade from the steep rocks. - Gabriela
